Three articles look at weaving fabric for drapes and curtains. Includes a look at selecting a weave structure, fiber choices and how to use narrow panels and reduced yardage. (1) Huck lace valance with a windowpane check has rod loops woven in along one selvedge edge. (2) "Swags" fabric is a moderately heavy, self-lined cloth woven in plain weave with supplementary weft floats. (3) "Honeycomb Tracery" fabric is lightweight but provides privacy. The treadling variation with the huck weave threading produces a honeycomb effect. (4) "Cloverleaf" fabric is a 2" plain-weave grid with contrasting warp and weft floats. (5) Valance with a lace border features narrow stripes at the selvedge. The bottom edge is accented with Swedish lace squares.
